About the WWU Journalism Department Alumni Newsletter

For years the journalism department mailed out physical copies of the alumni newsletter during winter quarter. (You can find PDF versions of some of those newsletters at the bottom of this page.) During fall quarter 2018 we decided to move away from the printing and mailing system and develop a digital format to further improve the connection between our department and our alumni.

The site you are viewing was originally designed and produced by professor Joe Gosen and journalism student Monique Merrill during winter quarter of 2019. Since then, student editors have continued to revise and refine the site with new content. Events and circumstances in 2020 disrupted some of the production plans we had in place but we are back on target for 2021. Our goal is to update the site with new content each quarter to keep you informed about developments in the journalism department, the faculty, the students and our alumni.
